LAKE LANIER Lake Sidney
Lanier is the most visited US Army Corp lake in the country. Its
690+ miles shoreline, 100+ islands and 46 park areas attracts people for
relaxation and recreation. The lake is fed by the Chattahoochee
River which starts just north of the Alpine village of Helen, GA.
The Corp of Engineers oversees the lake and parks which provide
picnicking, campgrounds, boat launching ramps, swimming areas, group
picnic shelters and hiking trails. Lake Lanier is the perfect place to
pursue your recreational adventure. Whether it is fishing, camping,
